WelcomeWelcome to IWBNet your one stop portal to obtain direction and

schools to assist them develop as digital schools.
IWBNet is an educational consultancy and teacher professional development
company, committed to providing direction and support to develop their
educational vision to enhance the quality of teaching and student learning.
IWBNet employs a network of practicing teachers highly skilled in the use of
interactive whiteboards in the classroom to deliver its high quality face to
face, hands on training nationally. These practising teachers are acknowledged
by their peers for their contribution to the evolution of IWB literacy in the
classroom
IWBNet uses the networked world to provide all those associated with the
shift to digital media – the teachers, school and system leaders, education
faculties - the leadership and educational vision required to enhance the
quality of teaching and student learning.
IWBNet acts as an independent intermediary between interested parties.
It uses its consultancy work, research, writings, publications, conference
and seminar program, teacher professional development programs and its various
web services to constantly inform, and help lead the way forward.
IWBNet is conscious of the rapid and ever evolving nature of digital media
and its use in schools, and so our mission is to stay in touch with this new and
emerging educational tool and to constantly provide resources and guidance as
each school progresses along its own journey.
IWBNet has positioned itself well over the past 7 years to assist schools to
realise the many benefits of the Commonwealth Government Digital Education
Revolution. In 2010 it will hold many strategic professional development
opportunities for teachers and school leaders:
After such a fantastic response to the Sixth National IWB Conference at
Waverley College, Sydney, IWBNet has much pleasure in announcing that it
will hold its Seventh National Interactive Teaching and Learning Conference
(formerly National IWB Conference) at Saint Stephen’s College, Coomera (Gold
Coast) QLD on 12, 13 and 14 August 2010.
The digital technology landscape for teaching and learning has changed
over the last few years. So too will the thrust of this national conference
change in 2010.
After such an overwhelming response to the Third National Leading a
Digital School Conference at the Gold Coast International Hotel in September
2009, IWBNet has much pleasure in announcing that it will hold its Fourth
National Leading a Digital School Conference in Melbourne, Victoria, on
Thursday 2, Friday 3 and Saturday 4 September 2010.
It is a very exciting, rewarding and challenging time to be in a
leadership position in today’s schools. One eye must be on the very best
practices for schooling with a strong focus on the present and the current
opportunities for students. On the other hand no person in a leadership
position within a school can afford to ignore the future and the potential
opportunities for students, because today, the future does indeed quickly
come around.
